They are globally recognised by the symbol WLL, which is an abbreviation for the technology used (Wireless Local Loop).

This service was launched with a capacity of (800,000) lines to cover all regions in Libya, with the goal of ensuring that all citizens, public and private institutions, and businesses have easy access to landline wireless telephone service.

Many messaging technologies are used in these systems, the most important of which is CDMA technology, which is an abbreviation for (Code Division Multiple Access), which means encrypted multiple access. With this technology, all subscribers can communicate at the same time and on the same frequency, but each subscriber is identified by a unique code.

How do I get the service?

Those who want to use the service submit an application to the nearest telecom services office
    • ID-photo.
    • A copy of your ID or passport.
    • A copy of your proof of residence (if you are not a resident).
    • The device costs (75.500 dinars), with an activation fee of (50,500 dinars), with the balance determined by the subscriber’s preferences., with the monthly subscription costing (5 dinars).
    • a copy of the certificate of residence.
    • A copy of a valid commercial registry or a commercial license, as well as a signed service application form, must be submitted.
    • The device costs (75.500 dinars), with an activation fee of (100.500 dinars) and a balance of (200 dinars), with the monthly subscription costing (15 dinars).

Method of payment for the service

The fee for the subscriber’s prepaid phone calls is calculated using prepaid cards for fixed wired and wireless telephones, which includes the value of the quarterly subscription in addition to the value of calls issued by the subscriber, and the service is terminated for the subscriber if the subscription value is not paid within three months of the specified date.

The subscriber can transfer the phone line to another location by completing and submitting the service transfer request form to the appropriate employee.

Advantages of Using a Phone

The prepaid system provides the international direct dialing (IDD) feature for fixed telephone lines, as well as several other benefits (additional services) granted to the subscriber at nominal prices, some of which are granted for free after a special form with the subscriber’s data is filled out.

The benefit of (changing the subscriber’s name) is also limited to those who submit documents proving the legal modification or change of the name through a court ruling, and nothing else is taken into account.
